Default Guild Wars Livestream - Volunteers wanted

Coming soon to the Guild Wars community, we bring GuildWars2Live.com! Basically it's a Livestream channel that will eventually be broadcasting everything Guild Wars 2, our personal character progress for the most part and other games that float our boat.

We are looking for people who would be interested in streaming their gameplay for fun whether it be Guild Wars 1 or Guild Wars 2 when it begins its public beta phases. If you are interested, send me a message on the forums or contact us through the site.

Guest streamers are welcome too. If you're doing a fun event in-game with your fansite audience or your guild, you are more than welcome to broadcast it live! It is our hope to fulfil ArenaNet's wishes to expand and stretch out the community so that Guild Wars can reach as many gamers as possible.

The website is purely a TV channel. Play your game, have others watch, and interact with viewers from a chatbox. The requirements are minimal. You have to be able to stream without lag and use a microphone.

See http://www.guildwars2live.com/

Thank you!

Not sure if it should be posted on GWguru since this is pretty much GW2guru material...

But I would be happy to sign up. I planned to do a live-stream for a while when GW2 gets released. Primarily because I currently do tutorials for GW1, and I'd like my viewers to see my progress into the new game.
I'll check the site when I have some more time.

Sweet, sounds good. Let's stay in touch then! Send me a private message.

One of the moderators at GW2guru deleted my post saying that since I could only stream GW1 right now, then I should post here. :P I'm not gonna make a discussion out of it though.

Thanks Guru for allowing me this post here. I met some new faces to tryout for our streaming team. People who cannot stream but want to help anyway can apply to be a chat room moderator later on.

On another note, I just realized that the site looks terrible on IE. xD

It doesn't record what keys you press.
All it records is video and audio of what is on your screen (or webcam, depending on what you choose to record). The only thing to be careful of is don't start streaming video until after you have logged in so that viewers can't see your email and then take guesses at your password based on how many keystrokes you made. They can't see what keys you press, but they can see how many *s show up and make guesses at keys.

Right, a streamer definitely wants to be prepared on the screen before going live. If there are items on your desktop you don't want others to see, then cover it up. Although the only thing any streamer he should be showing, is their game.

Procaster which is developed by Livestream.com works nicely with Guild Wars. Once can choose to stream their desktop or stream their game directly, just like how Fraps works. Streamer's key stokes are not recorded, only the picture and audio.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to stream though. Streaming gameplay is not for everyone! Sometimes its just nice to watch and listen.

if you dont trust it then start up the game first and then the cast.

I have been streaming for a while now, not as much GW anymore since it's kind of lost it's edge for me but I've streamed a few other games including recent beta tests.
I was already thinking of streaming GW2 so count me in aswell.

I've setup a small forum now for people who are interested in trying out to stream on our channel. Otherwise, those who want to contact me can just as easily find me on the chat channel.

My timezone is Eastern Time.
